October 26-27, 2022 at the invitation of Professor. Liu Zhifei, PhD. Dr. Pham Nhu Sang, Associate Professor. Dr. Pham Trung Hieu, Faculty of Geology had a working session with the Institute of Earth and Ocean Sciences, Tongji University, China.
Receiving the delegation was Professor. Dr. Liu Zhifei, Associate Professor. Dr. Zhao Yulong, Dr. Pham Nhu Sang, and scientists at the Institute. The two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation and training in the field of hydrodynamics, sediment sources in the Mekong Delta, and the influential role of the past and present.
Tongji University has many modern equipments, every year research is published in the magazine’s Nature, Science… etc, many scientific and technological products for practical application, and monitoring stations are invested. Modern equipment is located in many places around the world.
Associate Professor. Dr. Pham Trung Hieu gave a presentation on Precambrian evolution in the Phan Si Pan zone, northwestern Vietnam.
GS. Liu Zhifei proposed that the two sides jointly carry out research activities and exchanges of Master’s and PhD students in the near future. Tongji University is ready to support full scholarships for HVCH and postgraduate students from the Department of Geology, University of Natural Sciences, National University of Ho Chi Minh City. Pham Trung Hieu agreed and invited Professor Liu Zhifei and the research team to visit HCMUS on an appropriate occasion and carry out research activities of mutual interest.
