Department of Fundamental Geology

1. ESTABLISHMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

   The Department of Fundamental Geology is one of the first three Departments of the Faculty of Geology which was established after the University of Ho Chi Minh City had been established in 1976. From its inception to the present, this department's tasks are teaching and researching the basic fields of Geology such as Fundamental Geology, Geodynamics, Paleontology and Stratigraphy, Geological mapping, Geomorphology, etc. In addition, this department is also responsible for the application of Remote Sensing and GIS in Geological and Geomorphological survey and research.
